Wish I'd been there in time....

Took a look at my "Blogger Reading List" and saw this headline on a post:

HORROR SITES ARE SELL OUTS, LIARS AND SCREENER WHORES

The teaser text displayed was:

Im not only a site moderator but im a filmaker and i have a lot of experience sending screeners and id like to talk about what sites i believe are sell outs and full of crap, for one any site that tells yo...

But when I clicked to go read the post, it had been deleted. And I'm left in suspense over who the screener whores might be!

My guess someone lost their temper and then thought better of it. I've been there, if that's what happened.

I still wish I'd gotten to read the post, especially since the blog it appeared on has notices that solicit screeners.

  1. Have there ever been any good killer Muslim movies?

  2. I'll check it out. Guess no one has ever decided to do a film where Muslim snipers cross the Mexican border and - after a serial killing spree - are hunted down and get their asses kicked. Might make for a good chase sequence.

  3. A more obvious choice might also be "True Lies". (It's been a long time since I've watched that one, though, so I may be misremembering. The villains may just be of generic Middle Eastern extraction, or even some bizarre hybrid made-up religion like in Van Damme's "The Order".

Actually... thinking seriously about your question, which I wasn't when I gave my first flip answer, I can't think of a movie with a murderous villain that's motivated by his Islamic faith. They must be out there, though. It's only in the last few years that we're all expected to buy into the Islamic delusion that somehow their faith is superior to others and that they are beyond reproach.

  4. Good one! I forgot about that movie. The only other movie I can think of where the Allah-loving murderers get their asses kicked is the fact-based "United 93", where the passengers thwart their bigger plans. I was thinking more along the lines of an action flick along these plot lines: Setting: border town, USA. Our protagonist - an average Joe - has wife and daugther and live peacefully with dog. Jihadists cross border and murder wife, daughter, and dog. They hide out in a shed nearby. Joe finds family dead; realize it was the Arabs he helped earlier in the day. Joe and friend discuss how screwed up the religion is. Next morning they find Jihadists and there's a 25-minute chase sequence along the outskirts of large city, then back to a rural suburban farm, where the climax takes place in a barn. Muslim terrorists end up in a pig pen, then get pierced with pitchfork. The end.

How's that for a movie? No one would make it though, out of fear.
